Here's a collection of portraits and short stories from people I met on my trips around the world. Thank you for tuning in and see you soon, bye bye!

So I understand the charm of country life. But I’m not ready for it yet. Right now I love the city too much.

Amsterdam Centrum, The Netherlands. Autumn 2020.

I really like the city and its influences. The city gives me a lot in my daily life. And it also gives me a lot from a creative point of view.

I just like that you can go to one place, say a sound studio, and then walk out of the studio five hours later and you’ve made a new song.
It’s very satisfying when it works, but if it doesn’t work, that’s fine too, because it’s so easy to visit the studio again. So it gives a lot of room to experiment and see what happens, to experiment and make something new.

I think this is my biggest experiment yet, to make my own music and it’s still very difficult to make my own plan because I don’t have the knowledge yet, in terms of musicality. But with some things I want to slowly take matters into my own hands, even though I don’t think I’m such a planner.

I don’t like to think ahead. It’s not really my strongest point. I don’t have a driver’s license yet. But I think I might want my driver’s license later in life so I can drive to new places.

I know that the Groningen province has such cool places. It has more nature, and also these smaller initiatives that people set up. When we have a festival in Amsterdam it is immediately very big, and everything has to be the best, and there is a lot of ‘blablablabla’.

But there it is just ‘Oh, this is for local people doing our things for local people, fuckit’.

So I understand the charm of country life. But I’m not ready for it yet. Right now I love the city too much.
